about me

for equestrians, by a lifelong equestrian

Cora Williamson

Hey y’all! I’m Cora, the face behind Cora Williamson Photography. I’m a middle Georgia-based photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty of the equestrian world and the special bond between horses and their people.

Being an equestrian myself gives me a unique perspective behind the camera, allowing me to capture the little moments, genuine emotions, and personality in every session. While equine photography is where my heart is, I also love portrait sessions and just about everything in between.

I can’t wait to work with you and your four-legged partner!

  • iced coffee in one hand, fruity energy drink in the other
  • working hard all week just to fund the animal kingdom at home
  • prefers hoodie weather and mountain air over sunburns and sand
  • casually says “I graduated college before high school” like that’s normal
  • lifelong rider with over a decade of formal lessons
  • surrounded by cats, dogs, and barn life at all times
  • I own 5 dogs, 7 cats, 3 horses,  tons of fish, and my pet cow

LUNA

Channan is a Thoroughbred/Dutch Warmblood cross who is a current lease horse for me. His job is to help me move up in my riding career. He is the goofiest guy alive and loves to untie your shoe strings, unzip your jacket, throw buckets and brushes just to make you laugh on a daily basis.  Fun fact about Channan: he loves to sit like a dog!

Luna is  my  bay mare who was rescued out of the kill pen as a three year old and was my lovely project mare. She is now a forever keeper! Luna's favorite thing in the universe is food. She will eat anything that is edible and loves attention from anyone. She is my main competition horse currently

RIVIERA

Riviera AKA Rivi was my first show horse when I was young. We did english pleasure and fun local saddle club shows together. I outgrew Rivi and it was only fair that she got to stay in work around kids so I leased her out, then sold her. Mid 2024, she came back to me to retire and live her best life in the pasture. It is so good to have my childhood horse right out of my window every day!
